By using RateRight ("the Service") at rateright.software, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. The Service
RateRight provides AI-powered freelance rate recommendations, negotiation tools, and related resources. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended as a guide only — not as professional financial or legal advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use RateRight. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Free and Pro Plans
RateRight offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription ($9 USD/month). The Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. After the trial, your payment method will be billed monthly until you cancel.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first charge if you are unsatisfied — contact us at [email protected]
- No refunds are provided after 7 days of the billing period
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the Service
- Share your Pro account credentials with others
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service
6. Accuracy of Rate Recommendations
RateRight's rate recommendations are generated by AI based on market data and the information you provide. They are intended as a starting point and benchmark — not a guarantee of what any particular client will pay. Actual rates may vary based on your portfolio, client budget, negotiation, and market conditions. RateRight is not liable for any financial decisions made based on our recommendations.
7. Intellectual Property
The RateRight name, logo, and all site content are owned by RateRight. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the Service without permission. Rate reports generated for your personal use are yours to use freely.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateRight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify Pro subscribers of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Western Australia.
